Templates

A template is one of your own finished videos, saved so you can make new videos from it. fluos keeps its structure, pacing and motion and swaps in your new content.

fluos has no built-in template gallery. Every template starts from a video someone in your workspace made.

Save a video as a template

You can save any project that has a finished version:

• Projects page — open the project's menu and choose Save as template.
• Chat header — click the ⋯ button next to the project name and choose Save as template.

Give the template a name and, if you like, a short description of what it is good for. fluos saves the version you are looking at. The template is a frozen copy: later edits to the project do not change it.

Private or shared

A new template is private: only you see it (its card says Only you).

Tick Share with everyone in this workspace to let your collaborators use it too. Sharing needs the Pro plan or higher. If you move to a plan without sharing, your shared templates become private again.

Only the person who saved a template can delete it.

Find your templates

• Brand page — open Brand in the sidebar, then the Templates tab. /dashboard/templates still opens the same list.
• Dashboard home — a Your templates row sits under the composer once you have at least one template.
• Quick search — press ⌘ K and type the template's name.

Use a template

1. Click Use template on a template card.
2. Describe your version: what it is about, the headline, the product, anything that should be on screen.
3. Click Build my version (or press ⌘ Enter).

fluos copies the template into a new project and starts building right away. There is no storyboard step.

What is kept and what is replaced

If your request names colors, or the project uses a brand kit, those colors and fonts win over the template's look. The narrator is chosen again for the new video.
