Glossary
The terms you will see across fluos, in plain language.
Boost
A pack of extra credits you can buy on a paid plan. Boost credits never expire. See Plans and Credits.
Build
One run of the agent that produces or changes your video. On the free plan only builds spend credits — questions and conversation are free, up to 20 replies a day.
Composition
The video itself — the layout, type, motion, and audio that the preview plays and the export renders.
Connector
A read-only OAuth link to an outside tool such as Figma or Notion, so the agent can use material that lives there. See Connectors.
Credits
The unit of AI usage. The free plan includes 300 one-time welcome credits; paid plans get a monthly allowance plus optional Boost credits. Heavier work — long builds, generated video and images — costs more. See How Credits Work.
Export
A rendered file you can download: MP4 with audio, a silent GIF, WebM, MOV/ProRes, or a PNG sequence. See Preview and Exports.
Extracted clip
A segment the agent cut out of one of your videos and saved as its own library asset.
Folder
A grouping of projects inside a workspace. Organizational only — it does not change who can see what.
MCP
Model Context Protocol. Fluos exposes a public Docs MCP for search and a paid Video MCP so coding agents can create videos. See Fluos MCP.
MAX
A paid-plan toggle that lets the agent generate original video clips and images during a build. See MAX Mode.
Motion quality check
fluos's automatic review of its own output. It detects scenes that do not actually move, and problems are repaired before you see the result. Anything left over appears as a review note.
Preview
The live player next to your chat. It runs the real composition, not a video file, which is why you can scrub it moments after a build finishes.
Project
One video, plus the chats, versions, and exports that belong to it. See Projects and Folders.
Quick edit
Pointing at the preview — clicking an element or drawing an area — and describing a change. See Preview and Exports.
Reference vs embed
Whether an attached image tells the agent what to make things look like (reference — the default) or is meant to appear on screen (embed). Say which one you want.
Review note
A finding about the finished video — a frozen scene, overlapping elements, low contrast — listed in chat with a link to the moment. Review notes never block your preview.
Scene index
A timestamped breakdown of an uploaded video — what happens in each shot and how usable it is. It is what lets you ask for "the part where…" instead of a timecode.
Skill
A reusable playbook for a kind of video, loaded by the agent on demand or called with @name. See Skills.
Snippet
A saved block of prompt text — standing brand or style rules that apply to every message in the workspace. See Custom Prompts and Snippets.
Steer
Redirecting a build that is already running, instead of waiting for it to finish and correcting after.
Storyboard
The scene-by-scene plan fluos proposes for a new video, with timing and an illustrated sheet. You approve it before the build starts. See Storyboards.
Thinking effort
How much reasoning the agent spends on a turn: Low, Medium, High, or Extra high. Higher settings are slower and cost more.
Version
A saved snapshot of a successful build. Restorable at any time from Version History.
Workspace
The container that owns projects, library assets, snippets, skills, members, and billing. See Workspaces and Collaboration.
