Memories

Standing preferences the agent follows on every video, so you only say them once.

Memories are short standing preferences, such as "captions bottom-center, never on faces" or "always end on our logo and URL". The agent reads them on every turn and follows them on every video. You say a rule once instead of repeating it in each brief.

Where to find them

Open Account settings from the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar, then choose Memories. You can also open them from Memories under the dashboard home composer, or search for "Memories" with Cmd+K.

There are two lists:

ListApplies toWho can change it
YouYour own videos, in every workspaceYou
This workspaceEveryone who builds in this workspace, plus videos made through the API and MCPPeople who can edit the workspace

Type a preference and choose Add. Use the pencil to edit a memory, or the bin to delete it.

Memories from onboarding

The answers you gave during onboarding (your name, role, what you make, your video experience, and how you found fluos) are saved as your first memories in You, in your language. Edit or delete them like any other memory. A deleted one does not come back.

The agent suggests memories

When you state a preference in chat that sounds lasting, the agent can suggest saving it. A card appears in the chat:

  • Remember for your videos? or Remember for this workspace? — choose Save or Dismiss.
  • Update this memory? — the agent wants to replace an older memory with a new one. Choose Update or Dismiss.
  • Forget this memory? — the agent thinks a memory no longer applies. Choose Forget or Keep.

Nothing is saved until you answer. If you miss a card, find it under Suggested at the top of the Memories settings. A suggestion you dismiss is not offered again.

Ask the agent to remember or forget

Say it directly and the change happens at once:

Remember that our videos never use stock photos of people.
Forget the rule about captions at the top.

The chat card confirms the change and offers Undo.

If you ask to save a workspace memory but you cannot edit the workspace, it is saved as your personal memory instead.

API and MCP videos

Videos made through the API or MCP follow the workspace's memories only. Your personal memories are not used there, and these jobs never suggest new memories.

What makes a good memory

Good memories are short, specific, and true for every video:

Captions bottom-center, never over faces.
No bounce or elastic easing.
Never use exclamation marks in on-screen text.

Avoid:

  • One-off copy or full scripts — those belong in the brief
  • Aspect ratio and duration, unless every video you make uses the same ones
  • Colors, fonts, and logo — put those in a brand kit
  • Two memories that contradict each other — update the old one instead

For reusable workflows, not just standing rules.
