Cookie Policy
Last updated February 11, 2026
1. Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how fluos uses cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage and sessionStorage) when you use our website and applications.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and other browser storage mechanisms that store small amounts of data.
3. How fluos currently uses them
Based on our current implementation, fluos primarily uses essential authentication/session cookies through our authentication provider, plus browser storage for user experience preferences.
- Authentication and session: required to sign in, keep sessions secure, and protect account access.
- Theme preference: we store your theme choice (light/dark/system) in localStorage.
- Workspace and workflow preference: we use sessionStorage to preserve temporary workspace state.
4. Categories of technologies
We classify cookies and similar technologies into the categories below:
- Strictly necessary: required for core functionality, security, and login/session management.
- Functional preferences: used to remember settings like UI theme and user preferences.
- Analytics/performance: used to understand usage trends and improve the product (if enabled).
- Advertising/targeting: used for personalized advertising (if enabled).
As of the last update date, fluos does not intentionally deploy first-party advertising cookies on its own site.
5. Third-party providers
We rely on third-party infrastructure for core functionality. Those providers may set cookies or similar technologies when needed for authentication, security, fraud prevention, or service delivery.
Examples in our stack include:
- Authentication provider for user sign-in and secure sessions.
- Billing and checkout providers for subscription and payment flows.
- Cloud and platform infrastructure providers for service reliability.
Third-party technologies are subject to those providers' own privacy and cookie practices.
6. Storage duration
- Session cookies/storage: expire when the browser session ends unless otherwise specified.
- Persistent cookies/storage: remain until expiration, replacement, or manual deletion.
- localStorage values: remain until removed by you, the app, or browser data reset.
7. Your choices and controls
You can manage cookies and similar technologies in several ways:
- Browser settings to block or delete cookies.
- Browser settings to clear localStorage/sessionStorage.
- Device-level controls for tracking or ad preferences (where available).
Please note that disabling strictly necessary technologies may break sign-in or core functionality of fluos.
8. Region-specific rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights related to consent, opt-out, access, deletion, or other controls under applicable privacy laws (for example, GDPR/UK GDPR or certain US state laws).
